The desk keeps privacy simple: the site sets no cookies, stores nothing on a reader's device,
and runs no tracking. This policy states exactly what is held and why.
What the site holds
The pages themselves hold no reader data. There is no profile, no tracker and no third-party
element embedded in a page. A page is a plain document served from the desk host and read by the
browser.
What the contact sheet holds
If a reader sends a note, the fields that were filled in are received by the desk: name,
organisation if given, country, email, topic and message. Those fields are used to read the note
and reply. They are kept only as long as the correspondence needs them, and they are not sold,
rented or shared beyond the desk.

Retention and choice
A reader may ask the desk to delete a past note, and the desk will do so unless it is needed to
finish an open exchange. There is nothing else to delete, because the site holds nothing else.
Children and scope
The portal is an engineering and analytical resource for a professional audience. It is not
aimed at children and collects no information beyond a note that a reader chooses to send.
Changes and contact
A change to this policy is dated and noted on this page. Questions about privacy go to
[email protected] or through the
contact sheet.
How a note is stored
A note that reaches the desk is kept in the same correspondence file as the reply, in the order
it arrived. The fields are held together, because a half note makes a poor reference later. The
file is held only while the exchange is open and for the short period a later question may need it.
What is never collected
The portal collects no address, no device detail, no reading history and no location. It sets no
cookie and writes nothing to a reader's device. A page is read and forgotten, and the only data the
desk ever receives is a note a reader chooses to send through the contact sheet.
Your choices
A reader may ask the desk to delete a past note, and the desk will do so unless the exchange is
still open. A reader may ask what is held about a given note, and the reply will name the fields
that were received. There is nothing else to disclose, because nothing else is held.
Changes to this policy
If the desk ever changes how a note is held, this page is revised first and dated at the point of
change. A reader who wants a copy of the current text can keep the page itself, because it is a
plain document that reads the same offline as it does here.
